The carbon tax would fund government re-education camps to properly re-educate "Global Warming" skeptics to the dangers of man made "Global Warming". Skeptics could stay in school until they learn all about the dangers of man and the harm he causes to the environment. Do you think this would be a good idea? Would you support government re-education camps for skeptics?
I'd rather it fund free hysterectomies for all of those who can't bear the thought of adding to the global warming problem by producing more people. In a generation or two, global warming will be a non-issue. Voluntary eugenics, anyone?
While it is true that some of the Australian wild fires have been caused by human arson the role that climate change plays is in droughts that have made the australian wild areas more susceptible to burning. Truth is that climate change models are just that models, we don't have real "control" planets where we can test the effects of CO2. Since this is the only planet we have I would err on the side of caution. As for the "carbon tax ponzi scheme", when I look at who has a financial interests in this matter I see carbon emitting industries with a whole lot of money at stake versus scientists who will make nothing extra if climate change is widely accepted, in fact they will have to make sacrifices/pay taxes like everyone else. Yes there may be a tendency among the well educated (as scientists tend to be) to be a bit more left leaning than the general public but on the whole I see the mississippi campaigns and front organizations of the coal and oil industries as the ones spreading disinformation. Whether carbon taxes are the right solution is beyond the scope of my economic knowledge.
Dr. Jello, you have to be kidding. Re-education camps sounds like communist, socialist or facist states of the past. I would guess Dr. Jello that you are a left wing alarmist who is not really a Dr. or PHD and writes a lot of answers to those who do not know in order to induce a response or gather a flock or in this case induce propaganda for your benefit. Most of the pro AGW fanatics out there who call themselves scientists are rather people who have very little science background. In fact, I once had a discussion with an AGW supporter and found out during the conversation that his degreed expertise was in political science. It was very apparent in discussing science data that he did not and never will understand the big picture. Your last statement asking if audience would support government re-education camps for skeptics is almost laughable and signals you are not scientist nor understand the scientific process. You do understand scientific fraud and are a lemming yourself, following for the sake of following without any understanding of what and who you follow. The methodologies of your arguments are poor with even poorer metrics and no I am not a skeptic as I do not take seriously anything AGW proponents spew to the public. I look at only facts and the facts just do not support any theory the fanatics have stated thus far. Dr. Jello, you need to understand science better and promote the use of logic into your arguments. You will then see the entire picture, not just some left wing talking points that mean nothing.
Yeah, have the government set up camps to educate people who disagree with a certain viewpoints. That's called communism, you know.
Only if we are allowed to return the favor when the rule of scientific method is restored and the concept of peer review and consensus baned forever from any scientific disciplines. And that in the future climatology be made a dependent subset of meteorology and they be forced to the same educational standards of meteorology.
Instead let's start a volunteer fund to educate those on YA who post the most moronic questions. I'll start by putting in $5 bucks towards your education Jello.
Only if we can set some standard by which the reverse is true, that the warmers are permanently silenced if say two record-cold winters in a row happen.. no internet, no publishing of any kind for the warmers. I'm all over it then. Sunspots... still Zero.
I can actually see them planning something like this!
Reckon that would suit you fanatics quite well
I don't get it. Is this what you believe AGW theory proponents want? No, I wouldn't support them.
