A couple friends loaned me some money and I've decided to take them out for a nice steak as repayment (we talk about how much we long for a steakhouse on campus every few times we eat) Where should I go? I'm looking to pay 20-30 per steak and would rather not go to a super fancy/high class place. No reservation a plus.
I know this may sound surprising, but Macaroni Grill has the best bone-in ribeye steak for $20.00 It comes with sides too. Good Steak In Seattle
The Keg in Burien is excellent. My husband and I have eaten there several times, always have a very good meal. He almost always gets their "baseball steak" I get various things. We seldom make reservations (depending on the day/time, you might have to wait a little bit.) It's a relaxed non-fancy atmosphere. They also offer a free meal on your birthday, you can sign up and they send you a card in the mail a week or two before. And it's good for any time during the month of your birthday. We went to the Keg for both our birthdays. If you really want to splurge, however, go to JaK's Grill. There are a couple of them, we've gone to the one on California in the Junction in West Seattle. A little fancier, a little pricier, but it really is a superb steakhouse, one of the best around. Beats any of the "famous" places.
Slowhands suggestion of Outback is a good one given the price range you are shooting for. The dinner special at Calamity Jane's on Saturday nights is a great steak for $16, this leaves you extra $$$ for some of their fun drinks or to die for pull pork sliders as an appetizer (this is the only night you can get a steak there). Plus the location is in a fun neighborhood if you want to have go out drinking afterward. a kitchy experience and a great steak I would also recommend the Wedgwood Broiler. It is good solid food at a reasonable price (within your budget). Don't miss a stop in the bar, note the armrests that fold out from the baquets, just like in the back seat of your car!
Black Angus and Outback Steakhouse are always a good place to get a steak. They are in your price range and rarely require reservations (except for special days). I used to frequent the Outback Steakhouse in Everett and was never disappointed.
Canliss is nice, expensive and you need reservations, but the the steak is really good. I went two weeks ago with my boyfriend and tried his steak and it was the best I have had! Just a suggestion although it does not seem like what you are looking for, maybe the RAM would be nice and it would fit your budget and specifications.
My favourite Seattle 'steak house' is Jaks. No reservations so don't go too hungry, you'll have to wait. www.jaksgrill.com And while not a steak joint, I ate at Marjorie last night and the Steak was PHENOMENAL. So was the Sunken Blue Cheese Souffle. YUM. www.trenchtownrocks.com

Daniel's Broiler in Seattle is amazing. Their prices are more in the $40-$50 range for a steak, but let me tell you, it is worth it! Dinner menu pdf:
Check out the Keg. Decent atmosphere, good food.
