Mine do and it's frustrating because I'm struggling pretty hard in the money department myself. I have a huge student loan payment every month to make (in addition to my regular bills like rent), I have a 9 month old baby, my husband is out of work and my job has cut my hours in half. But despite my family knowing all this, someone is almost always asking me to borrow money. Some of them make more than me but once they spend all theirs then they're asking for mine. My mom has come to me several times asking for money and when I've said I don't have anything to give, the response is usually "well do you have a credit card you can take it off of and then I'll give you the cash to pay it back when I get it. In fact, when I was in college still my mom asked me to take out a credit card in my name for my brother to finish paying for his wedding (yet no one in my family gave me a DIME or even a gift for mine). I ended up not opening a card by the way. I just loaned my sister $100 a few months ago, which is a lot for me right now. She DID pay it back, but now she's asking for money again and I'm really "pinching pennies" to pay my OWN bills. I feel bad for her because she's trying to finish school and working as a waitress, barely making anything right now, but at the same time. I'm struggling too. Have you ever dealt with family constantly asking for money?? How do you deal with it/how would you deal with these types of situations?
You need to just say no. No no no. No to everyone, no to everyone no matter what (unless they're dying or something, and they'll die unless you lend them money... then it's ok, but they really better be dying, like in the hospital type thing). It's your money. If they need more, then they have to work out how to get it. You are not an ATM. You are you, and you need money, too. You work hard for it, don't let others take advantage of that just because you have a big heart and are a nice person. When it comes to money, it's best that everyone in a family stick to their own and don't get into a "you owe me" mess. It's never good for family relationships... ever.

Say no. Say it firm. You come first. Your family and your needs come first. My aunt "borrowed" money from my grandma, her own mother, about $2,000. And when my grandma tells her to pay her back since she needs money right now my aunt gets all butt hurt because she think people shouldnt be charging her money since according to her she is tight on money when shes off buying expensive clothes and getting her son braces because of ONE crooked tooth. My grandma needs surgery on her nose due to a medical prob. and she needs money to pay it and my aunt doesnt want to pay her back..
Wow that sucks. I'm sorry but I do not have family like that, you NEED to talk to them about it. Work out your differences:)
Nope cause I do not have money to lend...and they know it.....
